Layout Tours
Fawn Grove and Whitehall by Bill Rooke
The layout is modeled in the steam/diesel transition era. It is controlled by Digitrax DCC. It is a double track folded dogbone, operated point to point. There are hidden staging areas at the dogbone ends. Track plans and photos can be found on Bill's web page, www.northnet.org/mypage (last two selections on menu page). The railroad features yards, cities, boat docks and industries. The railroad operates as a switching terminal, a bridge line and has a mine branch. It is influenced by the ex-B&M Saratoga & Schuylerville branch. The layout also features automatic signaling (modeled after the D&H) and dispatching.
