Layout Tours

Pennsylvania Maryland & Chesapeake by Bob Durkin

The PMC is one of Vermont's largest layouts modeled in 1929 Roaring Twenties era HO scale point to point. The mainline features single and double track sections with 350 of mainline track between endpoints. There are two yards with a total of a dozen towns. This is eastern mainline mountain railroading with large trains requiring helper service. This is an operating railroad using train order dispatching. The

system employs NCE DCC control, both tethered and radio controlled.  Many locomotives are sound equipped. A new block signal system has been added. A dozen double headed trains can be found operating at any one moment.
