Layout Tours
The layout is a 13 x 22 point to point railroad based on the prototype railroads that served New York City along the Hudson and East rivers, circa 1976. There are several areas of the layout that are very close in design to the prototype locations. The layout is served by railcar floats and features tracks in the street, large city structures and piers. Numerous industries are served by the railroad throughout the layout. The control system is DCC by Digitrax with tortoise switch machines. The NJ&NYRR is a subsidiary of Conrail, derived from the fallen flags of the anthracite railroads absorbed by Conrail.
