A Celebration of Models and Photos

NER Model & Photo Contest Chairmen

In keeping with the national on providing co-emphasis on sharing and displaying as well as competing models and photos we have changed the name of the event from simply the contest to A Celebration of Models and Photos.

It’s not just about winning;

    it’s about participating and sharing your handiwork.

    It’s about encouraging and inspiring your fellow modelers.

A full array of events will be held including:

1. The NMRA Judged Model Contest
   

2. The NMRA Judged Photo Contest
   

3. The People’s Choice Awards, a popular vote contest, and
   

4. The Model and Photo Showcase,
   

5.        a non-competitive, "display only" activity welcoming all forms of model railroad work from models and
   

6.           photos to layout scenes and plans, railroadiana, and other neat model railroad contraptions.
   

Entrants are invited and encouraged to spend time with their entries to present and explain their handiwork. (Please contact Bob Hamm if your item is larger than 2’x 4’ for space availability.)

Entries will be taken and may be viewed from Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning. Judging will be Saturday afternoon and awards will be given out Saturday evening at the banquet, so please think about bringing something to share. We guarantee; you’ll enjoy it!
